I read a lot of bad reviews about this, but I can tell you that the
problems were user error. If the spot is level as possible and you work
the wrinkles out as the pool starts to fill you will indeed be swimming
or lounging in less than a half hour. Have had mine up for a month now
and even though its only 8' round it has enough water to float in a
float chair. Or several people t o just sit and have cocktails. Very
satisfied

I bought this pool four month's ago and used it at least three times a
week if not four. It's good quality and well designed. The pump is
good enough for basic operation, not spectacular but not bad. You should
order chlorine and water treatment supplies when you order the pool. I
didn't and I had to treat the pool for algae. Heat kills chlorine so
if you live in a hot area like I do, treat this little pool at least
once a week but try not to wait for two weeks.
You can put a small float in the pool if you only want to tan and not paddle around at all. Kids have a great time in the pool, and my 80 year old mother can use a hammock seat and float the day away with a tall iced drink :)
I put this on my deck, but when we had one person put too much weight on one side of the plastic the wall went down with the weight and the water cascaded out. As a result, about half of the water in the pool shifted the soil under my deck and now the pool isn't entirely level. You could see a kind of bulge on one side when the pool was refilled, a lopsided kind of leaning bulge. I there is a water release valve in the side of the pool and I used it, it works fine but slowly so I just stood on part of it letting the water get out. I then put magazines, a lot of them, around the lower side to shim it and filled again. And life is good and floating and playing in water on hot days is great.
